Sex doll care: keep her looking good for years

Cleaning, drying, powdering and protecting in five steps. What you need, how often, and which mistakes damage the skin for good.

Sex doll care: keep her looking good for years

A well-maintained doll still looks new after five years. One that is not becomes sticky, stained and dull within a year. The difference is not expensive products but a fixed fifteen-minute routine. This is the routine we use ourselves for the models in our showroom and stock.

Step 1: clean after every use

Clean the parts used with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap or a cleaning spray for TPE and silicone. Do not use aggressive cleaners, alcohol or scouring sponges; they dry out the material. A removable insert is rinsed separately under the tap, which makes drying much easier. The head does not need to go under water; a damp cloth is enough. Make sure no water reaches the neck bolt or the eye sockets.

Step 2: dry

Pat the skin dry with a soft, colour-fast towel and then let the doll air-dry, lying on a clean cloth. Dry the inside of an insert or fixed opening with a drying rod or a rolled-up microfibre cloth. Never use a hairdryer or a radiator: heat deforms TPE permanently.

Step 3: powder (TPE only)

TPE slowly releases oil to the surface, which makes the skin sticky and attracts dust. A light powdering once a month with a talc-free care powder keeps the skin dry and silky. Apply it with a large brush and wipe off the excess. Silicone does not need powdering.

Step 4: protect against stains

The most common damage is colour transfer: dark clothing, coloured bedding and even a pair of blue jeans nearby leave a blue or grey tinge after a few hours that will not come out. Dress the doll only in light or pre-washed clothing, put a white cloth between the doll and any coloured surface, and use only water-based lubricant. Silicone- and oil-based lubricants attack both materials.

Step 5: check

Once a month go over the places that move a lot: armpits, groin, fingers and neck. Repair small tears immediately with TPE glue before they grow; how to do that is in the article on minor damage. Also check that the wig cap is dry and that no pressure marks are forming from the way she is stored.

What you need

A soap-free intimate wash, care powder with a brush and water-based lubricant; in addition a drying rod or soft towel and, for emergencies, a tube of TPE glue. Our Complete Care Set contains the three consumables (lubricant, care powder and intimate wash) and lasts about a year with normal use.
