Our starting point
Doll.shop sells products for adults, to adults. That comes with a clear boundary. We sell only dolls with adult body proportions and do not include products that are too small, have childlike features, or could be offensive for any other reason. This policy applies to our entire range, to every brand we carry, and to every country we deliver to.
What we do not sell or supply
- Dolls or torsos that, through their height, build, face or appearance, depict or refer to a minor. The smallest full-size model in our range is 156 cm; smaller full-size dolls are not included.
- Dolls that resemble an existing person, or products that infringe someone’s right of portrait.
- Products that demean or ridicule a specific group of people, or that glorify violence.
- Custom-made items or special orders that do not meet these rules. We do not supply these even on request, and we do not refer customers elsewhere for them either.
How we assess this
We assess every model we add to our range in advance on body proportions, face and presentation. We apply a minimum height for full-size dolls and look at the proportions of the body as a whole. If in doubt, we do not add the model. We assess torsos and separate heads in the same way, in proportion to the full-size model they are derived from.
This policy is set out in our purchasing terms and in our agreements with manufacturers. Our photography and product copy follow the same line: no childlike clothing, settings or styling.
Sales to adults
Our website and our products are intended for adults aged 18 and over. If we have reasonable doubt about a customer’s age, we do not deliver.
Why we have this policy
A sex doll is a legitimate product for adults, and we want our customers to be able to buy and talk about it with a good feeling. That is only possible if the industry speaks out clearly about boundaries. We do: as a Dutch company with our own stock, our own staff and our own brand, we take responsibility for what we sell.
