Short answer
- Standing function means the feet have a built-in reinforcement, so the doll can stand on her own feet.
- On TPE dolls you see that reinforcement as three metal discs under each foot.
- On Lexydoll silicone dolls the metal discs are concealed; the sole of the foot looks natural.
- At Doll.shop every full-size sex doll has a standing function as standard. Without that reinforcement, the feet are too vulnerable.
- Always with support: a sex doll is very top-heavy, so always lean her against something. If you want to set her up firmly for longer, use a dedicated stand.
What is the standing function?
A full-size sex doll can easily weigh dozens of kilos. When she stands upright, all that weight rests on two small soles. The soft TPE or silicone of the foot isn’t made for that: without extra support, the skeleton pushes through the material. Over time that leads to small tears, deformation or a sagging ankle.
The standing function solves this with a reinforcement in the foot. The weight then rests on that reinforcement instead of on the soft material. That way the doll can stand upright with support, for example to dress, style or photograph her, without her feet suffering for it.
How to recognise standing feet
A TPE doll with a standing function has three metal discs under each foot. They are the visible points of the reinforcement: that’s where the weight rests when the doll is standing. They are small and sit under the sole, so you can’t see anything from the top of the foot.
Don’t see any discs under a doll’s feet, and it isn’t a silicone model with a concealed reinforcement either? Then always check whether the feet are reinforced before you let her stand. With our dolls you don’t need to check: they all have a standing function.
Difference between TPE and silicone
It works the same way in both materials; the difference is in the finish.
- TPE: the reinforcement ends in three metal discs under each foot. You can see them when you look at the sole.
- Lexydoll silicone: the three metal discs are concealed inside the foot. You can’t see them, so the sole looks just as natural as the rest of the skin. That matches the level of detail of silicone, where pores and skin lines are visible too.

Why every doll we sell has a standing function
We always deliver every full-size sex doll with a standing function. It isn’t an option you have to tick, and there’s no extra charge: without this reinforcement the feet are too vulnerable. Even if you rarely let her stand, weight quickly ends up on her feet when you move her, dress her or briefly set her down.
Torsos and masturbators have no feet, so they don’t have a standing function either. To see all models, take a look at sex dolls with a standing function.
Why a doll always needs support
The standing function protects the feet, but it doesn’t make a doll stable. A sex doll is very top-heavy: much of the weight sits high up, in the upper body and head, while the feet are small. If you let go of her, she quickly tips forwards or sideways. So in practice, always lean her against something, such as a wall, a cupboard or another sturdy support.
Want to set a doll up firmly for longer, for example in a room or to display her? Then we recommend a dedicated stand. It keeps her stable and upright without putting pressure on the joints. Our doll stand is made for full-size models.
Letting your doll stand safely
A standing function lets your doll stand, but a few habits keep her feet, ankles and skeleton in good shape for longer:
- Stand her up straight. Straighten the knees and spread the weight evenly over both feet. A crooked posture puts extra pressure on one ankle.
- Always lean her against something. Even for a quick change of clothes or a photo: lean her lightly against a wall, cupboard or other sturdy support and stay close.
- Use a stand for longer periods. If she needs to stand firmly for longer, use a dedicated stand instead of a wall.
- Mind the surface. A firm, level floor is best. On a slippery or delicate floor, a small rug stops her from sliding or the metal discs from leaving marks.
- Don’t store her standing. For everyday storage, lying down or hanging is better. Read more in Storing a sex doll: where and how, safely.
